Pappala Dabba is not just another E-Commerce Platform for Sweets and Snacks but it is our Heritage of Andhra’s culinary magic.
We still remember those days where the occasions made much more auspicious by making special sweets and snacks at home. These recipes are usually prepared by our grandparents, parents, neighbours sitting together with loads of fun and enthusiasm. These are done with a touch of nativity and emotions. Unfortunately, these days lack with all those methods leaving it as a memory or a history.
Our concept of creating this Pappala Dabba initiated from that ancestral thought of doing recipes. So, we have decided and wanted to continue the previous era of the heritage of our Andhra Pradesh’s auspicious sweets and methods and give it to our next generation.
The Name
In 1980-90s, our grannies used to keep all those special sweets in a Dabba; a telugu word (English; container) and they call it as a Pappala Dabba. We as children used to request, cry, fight to get the sweets from those dabbas. We sometimes end up doing all mischievous activities to get those sweets from dabbas. So our name Pappala Dabba evolves from those memories.
When people (especially telugu people) listen’s to our platform name (Pappala Dabba),we are sure they will remember their childhood days at least once and they will explain the same with kids as well.
